He was policeman in the 50s
He was school teacher at Maryvale district in Cheektowaga for many years.
In charge of the planetarium when first opened (1964)
Main subjects were science and math.
Also in charge of the rifle team.
When he became a deacon he was sent to Immaculate Conception in Eden to assist. he was also in charge of religious ed at Most Precious Blood in Angola. His Parish was SS Peter and Paul in Hamburg.

Fought under Gen. Patton. 3rd Armor 90 Division. All 5 battles, he was a forward observer of artillery. Did see Gen. Patten a few times - Patton called them all a bunch of ideates for hiding in fox holes. - that was his way. Bronze Star for Normandy. Was in the war for 3 year 2 mo. (Patch was TO Texas/ Oklahoma T on green background). Came home to 803 Tifft St. then moved to Columbus St.

Of Hamburg, NY, September 30, 2006, husband of Dolores (nee Shea); father of (1) Richard A., (2) Karen (Larry) Roehner, (3) James, William and (4) Kathleen (Gerald) Morgan; brother of Eileen Carr; predeceased by seven brothers and four sisters; also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the DONALD M. DEMMERLEY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 21 Pierce Ave., Hamburg, Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where prayers will be said Thursday morning at 9:30 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at SS. Peter & Paul Church, Hamburg at 10:00. Mr. Kelsey was a permanent Deacon serving at Immaculate Conception Church, Eden for 17 years and was a member of Hamburg Council #2220 K of C, VFW Post #8265, American Legion Post #527 and several teacher organizations.
