James L. Kelsey Buried at the Holy Cross cemetery. James is buried with wife Eleanor Flenigan and many members of the Flenigan family.

In the 1930 census, Jim is 19 and living at home with parents
In WW II, Jim was landing on Hiroshima and within 1/2 hour was shot in the forehead by a Japanese solder and was sent home! (Marine wounded purple hart )
Jim Kelsey married Eleanor Flenigan
Eleanor (Maiden name Flenigan) b. Jan. 14, 1914 - d. April 7, 1991 Buried at the Holy Cross cemetery
Children were:
Elaine Kelsey b. Aug. 1934 - d. March 1970.
Fell out of window under unknown circumstances and was paralyzed at age 33. Died at age 35. Was married to Gorge Ando, Gorge died 1963. They had one son Danny Ando.
Joanne Lombardo Born Aug. 7, 1938 - Living
Kelsey, James W Born June 5, 1939 - Never married - still Living 2-20-05
Eileen Kelsey Born March 1941 - approx 1950 - Died at 9 years old
Richard L. Kelsey Born Sept. 11, 1948 - Never married - Died march 26, 2003 - Arrangements for funeral by Lombardo Funeral Homes. Died at 55

NOTE: The wife was born in Scotland. I've noticed in another document it said she was born in Scotland, but is Irish/English?


1950 Census
They were living at 454 South Park Ave South Buffalo.





I took this photo so we can find the graves again- look for the big blue water.
The two graves are:
James and wife Eleanor Kelsey
Grampa John and Elizabeth are over that way too. Right by the fence.
