My mother Shirley said her mother Evelyn bought all these graves around the time she was 6 to 10 years old. Making it somewhere around 1935 and 1939
Ironically Evelyn is not even buried here. She's buried in Pennsylvania with her second husband, Walter Newman..

Her son Edward is buried next to her in Hillcrest Cemetery. His name appears on her headstone as well. See photo.
Anna Schrader (Second husband, August C Schrader) they had Charlie who who is a brother to Evelyn, my grandmother. Charlie is cousin Lois's father.

The two graves to the right. The larger grave is my great, great grandfather's daughter. Minnie Alice Schrader (Sometimes I see they write Minnie S The S is not her middle name it's the last letter of her maiden name.

Photo shows Minnie's grave along with her husband and to the left of that is the two children age of 16 and 18 who drowned in Erie Lake on the same day.
I took this photo to show its orientation with the building in the back to find the grave easier.

​Drowning death of their two children 16 and 18 years old. Children of Minnie Schrader/ Pieger. Alexander's grandchildren. At least Alex died in 1915 so he did not see the death. But Minnie saw the death of her father in 1915 the the death of 2 children in 1918.




Another interesting note. Minnie A. Schrader/ Pilger in the 1910 census said they lived at 133 Spaulding St. in Buffalo. We lived at 77 Spaulding in the early 1960s. According to Google maps 133 is no longer there more or less a parking lot. But they lived on the same block on the same side of the street.

It is so rare it only affects about 1 in 100,000 people.

We all knew her as cousin Lois and Carl. Much more detail can be found about Carl but my basic understanding is he was a lifelong house painter here in Hamburg

My aunt Marie's former husband. Father to Kenny, Gary and Donny. This Cemetery is On Camp Road on the other side of the light from route 20. About another mile down the road on the left-hand side.
