John Fay Sr. (Otter Creek, VT)
Dec. 26th 1755 - June 9th 1832 or 37 (82)
Wife: Mehitable Brigham Jan. 31st 1758 - Dec. 11th 1844 (86)

When did John Fay Sr. move to Vermont?

- he was fighting the Civil War in the 1777. After the Civil War 1780 but before the war of 1812? So if you split the difference, One could look for information of John living in from otter Creek Vermont somewhere around 1790 perhaps.

John Fay and Mehitable Brigham give there “intention” for married May 6th, 1775

John and Mehitable married Jan. 11th 1776

I'm not understanding something. This is the will of John Fay Senior. He has a wife named mehitable and all the children's match up such as John Fay Junior, Edward, Lucy, Joseph, but the date of the will is supposedly 1825. John Junior is mentioned in the will, but he was killed in the war of 1812.

Same photo as above, but I wanted to point out that John Fay, father of all of the children dies June 9, 1837 also notes the wives date of death of 1844

They are married in May of 1775 and start knocking out children in 1778

Will of John Fay of Ellisburg, NY
Open Watertown area on Route 81 before you get to Watertown there's Adams center I remember that from when I was serving in the army at Fort Drum. Then coming back this way another 5 miles is Ellisburg.
Read over carefully as I have seen a handwritten letter from John Lilley, who said he left this area of New York and moved to Concord Pennsylvania in 1831
The will was made out in 1830 and he died in 1832. No mention of a John Junior because he was killed by Indians in the war of 1812 during the second part of the war May 29, 1813 I need to check the names of James and the two girls to make sure they coincide with the children of John Fay Senior

He served in the revolutionary war S43543, Connecticut line peeled applied 7 April 18 18 Oswego County New York stated that he was age 63 a resident of Elsberg Jefferson County New York and had a 64 year-old wife. That would put her date of birth
What is this reference number? Is it something that is registered with the Sons of the Revolution?
